Help Make a Difference for Wildlife

Devon Valley Wildlife Shelter relies on dedicated volunteers to care for injured, orphaned, and displaced wildlife. Whether you have hands-on experience with animals or simply a passion for helping, there’s a place for you on our team.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering is a rewarding way to contribute to wildlife conservation. By giving your time, you can:

  • Provide direct care to injured and orphaned animals
  • Assist with rescues and transport
  • Help maintain enclosures and habitats
  • Support fundraising and community education
  • Be part of a passionate, like-minded team making a real impact

How You Can Help

We offer a variety of volunteer roles to suit different skills and availability:

🦘 Animal Care – Help feed, clean, and rehabilitate wildlife in our care. (Training provided.)
🚑 Rescue & Transport – Respond to calls and safely transport injured animals to our shelter or a vet.
📢 Education & Fundraising – Spread awareness, help with events, and support our mission.
📞Admin Support – Assist with essential admin tasks.

What’s Required?

  • A love for animals and a willingness to learn
  • Commitment to a regular volunteering schedule (even a few hours can make a big difference!)
  • Some roles require training, which we provide
  • For rescue and transport roles, a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are needed
